Today’s puzzles
One country from six clues, then three quick rounds of five. A new set at midnight, wherever you are.
An earlier day: play it as often as you like; it does not count toward your streak.
Three rounds of five
- Flags
- Capitals
- Map
Your day
How it works
- Start with the country of the day. The first clue is its continent and size; type a country to guess. Each wrong guess opens the next clue: its borders, its shape, its capital’s first letter, its neighbours and last its flag. Each wrong guess also says how far away it is, how close in per cent, and which way to go, newest first under the box.
- Then three rounds of five: flags, capitals and places on the map.
- Finish all four and your day’s card is ready to copy and send. Come back tomorrow to keep your streak.
Why play here
- A streak that forgives
- Miss a day and a freeze covers it. You earn one for every seven days you play, and keep up to two.
- Your own midnight
- The day turns over at midnight where you are, not in another time zone.
- No sign-up, no limit
- Every quiz on the site is free to play as often as you like. Your scores stay in this browser.
Questions
When does a new set come?
At midnight in your own time zone. Everyone on the same calendar day gets the same puzzles, so you can compare.
How is the streak counted?
One day for each day you finish all four puzzles. If you miss a day, a freeze is used for it on your next visit, as long as you have one. You get a freeze for every seven days you play and can hold two.
Can I play earlier days?
Yes, every one, free: pick a date under the day’s title. An earlier day plays like its own day but does not count toward your streak.
Where are my scores kept?
In this browser only. Clearing the site’s data, or using another phone, starts the streak again.
